Annual General Meeting 2023

The Annual General Meeting of the Members of PICKLEBALL CANADA ORGANIZATION (“Pickleball Canada” or the “Corporation”) will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM (Eastern time).

Registration Information

In order to attend and be eligible to vote at the Meeting, PCO members must register in advance. Registration is now open and will close at 11:59pm ET on Friday, June 23.

Please note the following when registering:

  1. Your PCO membership must be active at the time of registration.
  2. The email address you provide at the time of registration will be used for electronic voting purposes.
  3. Members may not share an email address for the vote, so please provide a unique email address for each registrant.
  4. Please ensure you fully complete your registration. You will receive a confirmation email after you hit submit. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please reach out to our staff at info@pickleballcanada.org to confirm that your registration has been received.

Registered members will receive additional information including the Zoom meeting link, attendance and voting instructions, rules of procedure, and Director nominee information after registration has closed.

Simultaneous translation services will be provided to allow for participation by unilingual members.  Participants will choose to listen to either the French or English channel on Zoom.

Voting

Jason E. Robinson, Sport Law, has been engaged to serve as parliamentarian and scrutineer.  The Simply Voting platform will be used to conduct the voting. A test vote will also be conducted prior to the AGM to help members prepare for voting at the Meeting.

Proxy Voting – Members may vote by proxy if notification is provided by email to info@pickleballcanada.org before the end of the day on Wednesday, June 21 per By-law 3.14 a. The notification must include the Member’s name and membership number as well as the name and email address of the individual to whom the proxy is given. This will register the proxy in the Simply Voting system. Note – no individual may hold more than one proxy vote.

Election of Directors

There are currently eight (8) positions available for election, with seven (7) positions for a two (2) year term, and one (1) position for a one (1) year term.
