Meet Rose Sawatzky from Manitoba. Rose is a Pickleball Canada Organization (PCO) Director. Her responsibilities include being on the Club Development task force, developing Pickleball Manitoba’s website through the National System a web-based Integrated Management Platform and responsibilities as the Complaints Case Manager.
Rose is the current President of Pickleball Manitoba and works together with a great group of volunteer board members who have a passion for pickleball and are committed to the promotion, development, and growth of the sport. Rose has excitement for building, guiding and promoting the game of Pickleball. Rose says, “The planning process is important to me in order to keep on track to where we are going and how we are going to get there. It encourages us to think ahead, be innovative to develop goals and objectives.”
Rose was bitten by the sport of pickleball in 2017 and has never looked back. She has helped build excitement for the game by becoming a certified instructor and provides introductory lessons for newcomers and clinics for players. Her favourite pickleball moments are meeting new players and connecting with familiar faces. In sharing her love for the game, many have been bitten by the same “Pickleball Bug”.
Rose is energetic, adventurous, outgoing, compassionate, willing to learn and take on new challenges; both on and off the pickleball courts. A mirror reflection of tigger the tiger! This past year she reflects on being surrounded by supportive, loving and caring family and friends who encourage her wherever her travels take her.
