Meet Alden from Minto, New Brunswick. Alden was introduced to pickleball in The Villages, Florida, in the spring of 2016. He became President of the Fredericton Pickleball Club (FPC) in the fall of 2016 and remained president for 7 years. In June 2021, Alden also became the president of Pickleball New Brunswick (PBNB). In addition, Alden has been on various committees of Pickleball Canada over the past few years.

Alden is totally addicted to pickleball like many other players, and it has changed his life in a positive way. There are so many benefits to playing pickleball both physically and mentally. Alden teaches pickleball and is also a Level 2 Referee. Alden truly believes that pickleball has the power to change the world!

Alden is competitive by nature, so he has competed in many local pickleball tournaments in NB, the NB Provincials, the Atlantic Regionals, the Canadian Nationals and even the US Open.

In 1975 Alden moved to Fredericton to attend UNB to become an Electrical Engineer. Alden retired in 2015 after a 36-year career with NB Power but he formed his own consulting company 2 weeks later. Alden is married to Dawna Briggs, and they have 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Life is good.
