If you are a Pickleball Canada member in good standing and your primary residency is in Canada and you wish to take advantage of training or an assessment in the US this fall or winter you will have to follow certain steps to ensure that USA Pickleball recognizes your credentials.
NOTE: This process is being updated and will require the completion of JotForm’s that will be found on the PC website officiating pages. There will be a form for level 1s and another for level 2s so that they can be automatically forwarded to the Canadian RTC or CRC who has the responsibility to contact their counterparts in the area you will be visiting. USA P will not recognize your credentials if you are not included in their National Referee Database (NRD), and able to find your particulars when doing a search of the NRD.
You will be asked to supply the following information:
- USA Pickleball membership number
- Dates of your visit
- eMail address
- Mailing address for both Canada and the US
- Phone numbers for both Canada and the US
- Mentor’ s name for mentor in Canada
- Mentor’s name if previously assigned in the US
- You may wish to obtain USA P Referee Credentials, for which there will be a fee.
Pickleball Canada is proud to recognize the following new CERTIFIED Referees.
- Bud Hebner from Ontario who was evaluated in the US at the Michigan Beer City Open.
- Shiela McParland from Fredericton, NB who was evaluated at the Alberta Provincial Championships in Red Deer Alberta.
- Wing Tat (Victor) Chan of Edmonton Alberta, who also successfully completed his evaluation at the Alberta Provincial Championships and became Canada’s 30th Certified Referee.
Congratulations to all for their dedication to the Officiating Program and persevering this arduous process.
