Meet Brian from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brian was most recently elected to the Pickleball Canada Board of Directors in June 2023 and holds the position of Secretary.
Brian has been playing pickleball since 2019. He is a member of the Winnipeg West, Winnipeg Pickleball Club and the Hua Hin Pickleball Club in Thailand.
Brian brings a tremendous amount of Board of Director experience and business acumen. His last board position held was with the ATVMB (All Terrain Vehicle Association of Manitoba) where he was responsible for Trail Operations. He played a lead role in a proposal that was recently passed by the Manitoba Government for sustainable funding that would allow the collection of user fees in excess of $2M to be disbursed amongst associations, their clubs, and municipalities. He has written extensive policies and procedures and has been instrumental in launching many successful marketing campaigns. He is well versed in the corporate environment working in the areas of strategic and risk planning, project management, process improvement, operations and performance management.
Brian is married and has two sons. When not playing pickleball, he spends his other time hiking, camping, mountain biking and motorcycling.
