Subject:        Notice of February 2026 Special General Meeting (SGM)

In accordance with Pickleball Canada Bylaw 3.06, a Special General Meeting (SGM) of members has been called as follows:

Time:                                     7:00 p.m. ET

Place:                                    Webcast (NOTE: This will not be a Zoom meeting, please see important instructions below)

The purpose of the SGM is to consider Bylaw amendments proposed with the goal of strengthening the governance and long-term stability of Pickleball Canada.

The proposed amendments will:

  • Reduce annual Board turnover by establishing three-year terms for directors, resulting in approximately one-third of the Board being elected each year and improving continuity and retention of organizational knowledge. 
  • Amend the election process to recognize the importance of the vetting process conducted by the Nominations Committee.
  • Formalize the role of National Pickleball Advisory Council (NPAC) and establish NPAC within the Bylaws.

Pickleball Canada members must register in advance to attend and vote at the SGM at the following links (these will be the same link for the Live Webcast):

Please note the following when registering:

  1. Delegates must be active members of Pickleball Canada at the time of registration. 
  2. The email address provided at the time of registration will be used for electronic voting. Delegates cannot share an e-mail address – each delegate must be registered under a unique e-mail address.
  3. Delegates will receive a confirmation email once their registration is complete. Any questions regarding the registration procedure can be addressed to our staff at info@pickleballcanada.org . 
  4. Registration for the Special General Meeting closes on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time).

Registered delegates will receive additional information, including the link to the Webcast, voting instructions and rules of procedure.

The webcast page will include translation services – all meeting content will be provided in French and English.

Further information on the electronic voting system will be sent to all registrants.
