Pickleball Canada is proud to introduce a new national logo, signalling the beginning of an exciting new era for the organization.
This refreshed identity was developed through a collaborative process, informed by feedback from a select group of stakeholders, including the Pickleball Canada Board of Directors, Provincial and Territorial Sport Organizations (PTSOs), and Pickleball Canada Ambassadors. The goal was clear: to create a mark that reflects the evolution of the sport, one that is modern, distinctive, and aligned with a high-performance future, while remaining welcoming and accessible to all.
At the heart of the design is a bold and immediate connection to Canada. By integrating the iconic maple leaf with the form of a pickleball, the logo establishes a simple yet powerful national symbol. As pickleball continues to grow across the country, this mark is intended to become a recognizable anchor, building familiarity, pride, and connection over time.
A key feature of the design is the 13-hole pattern, inspired directly by the pickleball itself. This detail thoughtfully represents Canada’s 13 provinces and territories, reinforcing a sense of unity while remaining authentic to the sport. It also introduces a distinctive visual element that can extend into future design applications and supporting graphics.
The decision to focus on a symbol, rather than relying on descriptive wording, was intentional. By allowing the mark to stand on its own, the logo becomes more iconic, memorable, and versatile across a wide range of uses. Avoiding literal elements such as paddles or human figures ensures the identity remains inclusive, timeless, and universally representative of all who play the sport.
Executed in a clean, geometric line-art style, the logo is crisp, modern, and highly legible at any scale. Its simplicity allows for flexibility across digital platforms, print materials, apparel, and environmental design, supporting a cohesive and scalable visual system as the organization and sport continue to grow.
This new identity reflects not only where Pickleball Canada is today, but where it is going: dynamic, inclusive, and unified from coast to coast to coast.
