Coaches Corner

Pickleball Ontario, on behalf of Pickleball Canada, is nearing completion of two coaching streams for National Coaching Certification Program (”NCCP”) approval. These programs are Community Initiation (focused on recreational players fairly new to the sport) and Introduction to Competition (for players wanting to develop their competitive skills). In support of the coaching programs, the pickleball Long Term Player Development (“LTPD”) model was also developed. Since Pickleball Canada is not yet recognized by the Coaching Association of Canada, PCO needs to partner up with an already registered National Sport Organization to continue on with the NCCP application. Talks are currently underway in that regard. Once we gain NCCP approval, we will start rolling out training in a systematic manner across Canada.
