Pickleball expands its reach

Not only has pickleball grown amongst Peninsula seniors as a healthful and entertaining activity, it has also caught the attention of families looking for a sport all ages can enjoy.
That's according to Chuck Lefaive, president of the local pickleball association, who said many of the 800 people who play at South Surrey Recreation Centre are families.

Get some exercise, have some fun and meet some new people. No partner? No problem. We provide partners for everybody. Men and women are both welcome to register.
Since this sport is new to Calgary, we expect that most players will be beginners. Those who have played before will help teach those who have not.

Your excellent article unfortunately omitted the fastest growing sport in North America: pickle ball.
We have a number of players in the area, however we are trying to grow the sport to stay abreast with the rest of the country.
