Welcome to Pickleball Canada!

Thank you for visiting our site. Hopefully, you will find everything you need here to answer any question you might have about pickleball in Canada.

As President of our Association, I am honored to be part of the changes that are taking place. In May of this year, the Founding Members of Pickleball Canada, Chuck Lefaive, Bev Butt, Bill Franzman and Bill Furse, decided that a Board of Directors should take over the operation of the Association. The Board was formed and now is responsible for everything to do with Pickleball Canada. While the Founding Members no longer have a formal role in the operations, a great deal of credit is due them. In a relatively short period of time, and with a great deal of forethought, they formed and brought pickleball in Canada to where it is today.

Since taking over the operations of Pickleball Canada, the Board has drafted and approved a Constitution and Bylaws. A link to a copy of this document in both English and French will appear on this site in the very near future. It is hoped that with the Constitution and Bylaws, Pickleball Canada will soon be registered as a non profit corporation. Hopefully, that will make us eligible for federal sport grant money.

The Board has granted and approved the application for the 2011 Canada Pickleball Championships to be held in Calgary next summer. Watch this site for more information in the near future.

Please call up and read our newsletters, which will highlight news, people, and events. These are created monthly.

I am very pleased with the number of new and renewal applications for membership in our Association. If you are not yet a member, I urge you to join us. A membership form may be downloaded here - Pickleball Canada Membership Form.

Watch for an online application and payment method coming soon.
